biglietto / ticket 10,00 € (ridotto 7,00 € ) durata / time 45' SCENA CONTEMPORANEA ALESSANDRO SCIARRONI All’interno del progetto “Migrant Bodies”, tra il 2014 e il 2015, Alessandro Sciarroni sviluppa un’idea per una pratica performativa profondamente germinale. Partendo dall’osservazione dei fenomeni migratori di alcuni animali che al termine della loro vita tornano a riprodursi e a morire nel luogo dove sono nati, l’artista inizia a lavorare sul concetto di turning. Il termine inglese viene tradotto e rappresentato in scena in maniera letterale, attraverso l’azione del corpo che ruota intorno al proprio asse e che si sviluppa in un viaggio psicofisico emozionale, in una danza di durata, nella stessa maniera in cui turning significa anche evolvere, cambiare. Il progetto TURNING si articola in diverse presentazioni ed eventi che l’artista chiama “versioni”. Ogni “versione” prevede il coinvolgimento di interpreti differenti, così come di artisti visivi, musicisti e designer, chiamati dall’artista ad interpretare la stessa azione secondo la propria sensibilità – in maniera drammaturgicamente coerente con il titolo del progetto: i materiali e le partiture fisiche sono soggette ad un mutamento, un’evoluzione, una trasformazione, all’interno di ogni singolo evento. CHROMA_don’t be frightened of turning the page è la versione solista diretta ed interpretata dallo stesso Sciarroni, che prende in prestito il titolo e il sottotitolo rispettivamente dal libro dei colori di Derek Jarman e da un album dei Bright Eyes, il gruppo rock preferito dell’artista. Starting from the observation of the migration flows of some animals that at the end of their life return to spawn and die in their natal territory, the artist began working on the concept of “turning”. The English term is translated and represented on stage in a literal sense, through the action of the body rotating around its axis: the action develops into an emotional psychophysical journey, a dance of duration, in the same way in which “turning” also means to evolve, to change. The TURNING project is divided into different presentations and events that the artist calls “versions”.
