65 di e con / Claudia Caldarano by and with Sulla distanza si svolge lungo il 'corridoio del Castello', il Cassero di Prato, in origine chiamato il 'Corridore del Cassero' e lungo 230 metri. L'antico camminamento medievale collegava le mura di Porta Fiorentina al Castello dell'Imperatore per permettere alle truppe di attraversare la città senza essere viste. Qui, lungo circa 30 metri, prendo distanza dalla mia immagine, appena visibile, occulta e segreta. Il corpo, dentro il riquadro di una grande lente d'ingrandimento, è così smisurato da far emergere linee, macchie, sfumature di forme e colori dai mutamenti delle minoranze corporee e dagli assestamenti dei dettagli del corpo. Sono un quadro astratto, e poi surreale, e poi un collage; porzioni del corpo si sdoppiano e compongono si accostano tagliandone altre e mi accorcio fino a quando la testa si attacca ai piedi e colo via. La macchina del corpo è come se fosse in un'ampolla che lo avvicina, lo allontana, lo curva e lo amplifica fino ad annullarlo e farlo diventare un paesaggio; così affiorano una serie di fantastiche intuizioni, miraggi fisici, anomalie, astrazioni; la lente mi stacca dal corpo e sembra che non sono lì, scompaio e appaio da un grumo di colore, piccola e al contrario, divento lo sfondo di un autoritratto, con una piccolissima mano che oscilla di dimensioni e tra le dimensioni, tra i punti di vista, tra le distanze, in cerca della differenza di rappresentazione, di visione - su cui ho un controllo parziale perché la posizione di osservazione cambia, in parte, il contenuto del quadro - e invita chi guarda a spostarsi dal proprio punto di vista affinché il quadro possa parlare con una inflessione diversa. Accostando il vicino con il lontano la forma si libera, altera, distorce, cambia di stato, la visione si sposta su prospettive inconsuete, sulle figure marginali come le ombre, i riflessi, i particolari di un corpo sotto sopra, fuori di sé, che meraviglia, che va a fuoco, che svanisce, che perde i contorni mentre brucia sulla distanza. The body, inside the frame of a large magnifying glass, is so huge that lines, spots, shades of shapes and colors emerge from changes in the body's minorities and from the settling of body details. They are an abstract painting, and then surreal, and then a collage; portions of the body are split, are composed and others are cut off so that I shorten myself until my head sticks to my feet and i droplet away. The machine of the body is as if it were in an ampoule, which brings it closer and further it away, bends it and amplifies it to the point of canceling it and making it become a landscape; thus emerge a series of fantastic intuitions, physical mirages, anomalies, abstractions; the lens detaches me from the body and it seems that I am not there, I disappear and appear from a lump of color, small and on the contrary, I become the background of a self-portrait, with a very small hand that oscillates in size and between dimensions, between the points of view, between distances, in search of the difference in representation, of vision - on which I have partial control because the position of observation changes, in part, the content of the picture - and invites the viewers to move away from their point of view so that the picture can speak with a different inflection. Combining what is close with what is far away, the form becomes free, altered, distorts, changes state, and the vision shifts to unusual perspectives, on marginal figures such as shadows, reflections, details of a body upside down, out of oneself; that it burns, that fades, that loses its contours while it burns on the distance.
